We open today! It has been a long journey to get to opening day, but from 1st September 2024, you are welcome to visit your private GP, Dr Anglim, at our new GP surgery at Fornham All Saints in Bury St Edmunds.
The concept for Anglim Private Health started because we felt patients were struggling to see their NHS GP and in particular struggling to access face to face appointments. We found that seeing a GP was difficult to organise, often at tines which were inconvenient and practices were struggling to give the continuity of care which should be a cornerstone of GP care. The steps we have taken with Anglim Private Health means that:
- Patients can book appointments at Anglim Private Health easily by calling the GP surgery phone number or directly booking an appointment online.
- Seeing a GP face to face is always the default option at Anglim Private Health.
- Appointments at Anglim Private Health can be booked early in the morning, late in to the evening or over the weekend.
- And every GP appointment will be with Dr Anglim, meaning continuity of care is guaranteed.
Through our planning we stepped up our offering by creating our membership option with a monthly fee. By becoming a member of Anglim Private Health you will unlock unlimited appointments. Dr Anglim will guarantee that if you are a member and want to be seen on a day we are open, an appointment will be made available for you; even if we are already full. And the same guarantee can be extended to visiting friends or family members. But the most important part of being a member is you will be treated like a member of the Anglim Private Health family. You will be able to contact Dr Anglim on the phone, via message or email and he will get back to you as soon as possible. You can try to make this contact outside our core hours, and while we cannot answer the phone every minute of the day, Dr Anglim will routinely take calls out of hours when free and often respond to out of hours queries long before the next official opening time. Becoming a member has no tie in period or commitment, so you can cancel at any time.
We have had some excellent feedback from our pre-opening build up. A number of individuals and families have booked appointments to discuss membership and some have already booked a clinical appointment. We will have a limit on the number of members to make sure that they are able to receive the highest quality care. Our first target/ limit is 200 members and while we think it’ll take some time to reach that target, there will be some joining as a family of 4 or 5 to take spaces. To celebrate our launch month, we will not be applying the joining fee to any new members throughout September 2024.
